Beautiness
A visual essay about the perception of beauty
Bespoke Work • Music & Sound Design
This series of 6 Short Films, directed by Louis Vignat, is showcasing a selection of sheer endless subjective perceptions of beauty and the many insecurities that come with them. The complex subject of “beauty” has never been more important than today, where all of us are subject to intense pressure to look “good” at all times, often disregarding the subtle and not so subtle effects on the human spirit and the environments we live in.
The Musical Themes and Sound Design, developed by Dario Rojo Guerra, are capturing the sensitive perceptions of beauty and the insecurities that each character in the films is carrying. The complex subject of “beauty” and self-assurance often creates intense pressure, while we disregard the subtle and not so subtle effects on the human spirit. These tensions have found their way into the music and sound design to support the characters but also to showcase the endless beauty of each one in search for acceptance and awareness of what beauty actually means.
