Not only are the Rockets supporting Zhou Qi’s big leap to the NBA, as Nike also showed their belief in him by recently releasing a commercial dedicated to him. The 21-year-old has been a regular with the Chinese National Team, and is arguably one of their most important players today. He has also proven himself in the CBA, winning a title there last season, and was named their Defensive Player of the Year as well.

This season in the NBA, Zhou Qi has only appeared in seven games so far, averaging 1.3 points and 1.0 rebounds in 4.7 minutes. The playing time may not be there yet, but as he continues to improve his skill set, it can be expected that his time to shine will come, with all of his countrymen in China cheering for his success.
